As the waves begin to splash with charter season in full swing, leading companies from the world’s yachting industry and over 30,000 private yacht owners, future buyers and high level professionals active in the yachting market, are about to set sail for the Cote d’ Azur to attend the biggest event on the yachting calendar.
The annual Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) will return to Port Hercule between September 25 and 28 2019, where it will provide the ultimate showcase for industry influencers from the most reputable superyacht builders, award-winning yacht designers, luxury suppliers, and influential brokerage houses to the most sought-after water toys, prestige cars, helicopter and private jet manufacturers.
Flying their flag higher than ever, Isle of Man Maritime will have a new, improved and bigger stand as well as a strong industry delegation at this year’s show, to promote the Isle of Man’s excellent service and standards and to demonstrate why it truly is a ‘centre of maritime excellence’.
Commenting on behalf of Isle of Man Maritime, Lesley-Anne Walker, said: ‘The Isle of Man is more than just somewhere to register a yacht. It is a strong and stable jurisdiction, which is home to a large number of maritime businesses that continue to provide a high level of service to one of the most demanding industries in the world.
‘The Monaco Yacht Show is a premier event where we can show off the island’s excellence and diversity of support to a global audience. MYS offers a great platform for us to network with industry contacts and clients, and to seek out new business opportunities. It is great to see such a strong industry commitment again this year and to receive the huge level of support we have from our cluster members.’
This year will see Isle of Man Maritime host two networking events during the course of the show. On Wednesday September 25, they will hold their annual Monaco Drinks Reception where, together with their stand representatives, they will welcome guests and clients onto the stand to network over drinks and canapés.
However, on Friday September 27, they will embrace their ‘Dare to be Different’ mantra, to become part of Macmillan’s biggest annual fundraising initiative and join the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Commenting on this year’s additional event, Lesley-Anne said: ‘We are delighted to be a part of such an important initiative by Macmillan and when we realised it coincided with Monaco we thought, why not bring the world’s biggest coffee morning to the world’s biggest yacht show.
‘Between 11.30am and 1pm, we will be inviting guests and visitors to pop by our stand, take a seat and enjoy some coffee, tea and pastries, and help us raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, so that they can continue their work in helping support more people living with cancer.’
The Isle of Man Maritime stand will be in a new location in Darse Sud DS71 and will be represented by delegates from Isle of Man Maritime members: Affinity, Baker Tilly, Boston MFO, Equiom, Finance.im, ICE Design, Isle of Man Ship Registry, KPMG, Marine Kleen Limited, MHG, OceanWeb, Sentient International and Trident Trust.
