Isle of Man Maritime Limited (‘Isle of Man Maritime’) is delighted to announce that they will once again be supporting one of the maritime industry’s biggest global events, having signed up as a Bronze Sponsor of London International Shipping Week (‘LISW’) 2023, as part of Isle of Man Maritime’s promotion of the Island’s maritime cluster at the event.
Isle of Man Maritime have sponsored LISW for the last 8 years and have become renowned for their successful, unique and notable events. Continuing with their ‘Dare to be Different’ mantra, the not-for-profit organisation will host an exclusive, invitation-only event on Wednesday 13th September that promises to leave their guests with something to talk about when they go home. Previous event venues have included the Kathleen & May (a three-masted wooden tall ship), the glass walkway of Tower Bridge and the NLB Pharos; this year’s venue choice will be just as unique by being aboard the Golden Hinde on the south bank of the Thames, for their ‘Exploring the future with IoM Maritime’ event.
Commenting on their involvement this year, Isle of Man Maritime Executive Committee Member Bruce McGregor said: “LISW has always been home to one of Isle of Man Maritime’s flagship events and gets significant support from several of our members. It is a great opportunity to network with fellow industry professionals and to promote the expertise we have within the Isle of Man’s maritime cluster – it truly is a centre of maritime excellence, and we want to show everyone that.”
LISW 2023 will run from 11 – 15 September, will host hundreds of events and activities, including its Headline Conference, which will take place in the Plenary Hall of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) on the banks of the River Thames on Wednesday 13th September.
