History

Isle of Man Maritime Limited was incorporated in March 2018. However, its story began a lot earlier when a group of individuals established a Ship Managers and Owners forum in early 1989. The journey continued with the establishment of the Isle of Man Shipping Association in January 1995. Over the years, it has provided a forum for local businesses to discuss operative and legislative changes within the maritime sector such as the ILO minimum wage introduction, STWC amendments, NI contributions, local tax legislation, and more recently the entering into force of the Maritime Labour Convention 2006.
