The Environment and Infrastructure Policy Review Committee, a Standing Committee of Tynwald are currently investigating the Isle of Man Department of Infrastructure’s Harbours Strategy.
The Members elected to the Committee are Mr Rob Callister MHK (Chair), Miss Clare Bettison MHK, and Mr Chris Robertshaw MHK. Mr Callister has recused himself from this inquiry because he is a member of the Department for Enterprise, one of the sponsoring departments of the Harbours Strategy. Mrs Marlene Hendy MLC has been elected by Tynwald as an alternate member of the Committee for the duration of this inquiry. The Committee has elected Mrs Hendy as its Chair for this inquiry.
During this process, the Committee will hear oral evidence from a number of individuals (witnesses).
Evidence was heard on Friday 9th November, from the Minister for Enterprise, Hon Laurence Skelly MHK and Chief Executive of the Department​ for Enterprise, Mr Mark Lewin.
This Friday 16 November, representatives from a number of Isle of Man Maritime member companies will also be giving their evidence in public in the Legislative Council Chamber in Douglas from 1.30pm. Members include Tim Davies, Director at Royal HaskoningDHV, Mr Lars Ugland, Chairman of Guardian Navigation Inc, Capt. Kuba Szymanski, Secretary General of InterManager and Capt. David Greenhalgh and Capt. Simon Pressly.
